Minehead Farmers' Market - Trader InformationHome - What do we sell? - Information for Traders - Contact - Links
We have a variety of stallholders each week, selling bread, cakes, fish, beef, lamb, pork, venison, poultry, eggs, milk, cheese, vegetables, flowers, chutney and preserves, apple juice, herbs and beer.
We are looking for more traders to fill empty niches - honey and bee products, goat's milk and goat's milk products and cider are all stalls that we are actively seeking.
Not all stallholders are able to come each week, so please do contact us if even if we already list someone offering the same produce as you. We are also exploring the idea of welcoming local craftspeople - felting, genuine hand-crafted soap and local artists have all been mentioned.
If you are interested in trading at the market, please contact our chairperson, Shelley for a chat. The market is run as a co-operative endeavour, with all traders taking responsibility for decisions about who is accepted and how it is run. Application forms are downloadable from the Contacts Page and we advise filling one in in the first instance and returning it so that one of us can contact you.
We rent our pitches from West Somerset District Council at the cost of £25 per session. This is payable on the first Friday of the month, for the whole month, in advance. It includes the provision of a stand (but not the table) and help unloading and loading at the beginning and end of the market. Half stalls are sometimes available at a cost of £15, but this is not guaranteed and depends on availability.
Traders must hold both product liability and public liability insurance and come from within thirty miles of Minehead.
